Fast Factory

Objective/Philosophy

At Fast Factory it is our primary objective to teach and educate athletes from the greater La Crosse area of all ages and abilities on the importance of developing proper movement patterns, body mechanics, and training habits as they pertain to their individual physical development as athletes. In other words, we as strength and conditioning professionals strive to focus on general physical preparation to provide the ability for all athletes to become more successful in their sport. We do so by offering an all-inclusive program that tackles all physiological variables such as strength, power, mobility, flexibility, agility, speed, balance, coordination, and common injury prevention. We evaluate our programs and athlete’s performance with basic performance tests/screens that have been accepted as the best outcome predictors of athletic performance to ensure that continual progress is being made.

First Priority – Force Absorption / Injury Prevention –

The worst athlete is an injured athlete. This is why we prioritize proper movement patterns and injury prevention in ALL of our programs we offer. Learning how to efficiently absorb forces that are placed on our joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments is extremely important in reducing the risk of injury in sport. You must learn to absorb force in order to improve force production in safe and efficient ways. Thus, every program we offer begins with a 2-4 week focus on absorbing force in multiple planes of motion. Every session will also encompass stretching/mobility/injury preventative exercises pre/post training to educate and reduce risk of future sport specific injuries.

Second Priority – Strength, Speed, Agility, and Power Development –

Power, speed and agility are dependent upon 4 variables. How fast you can absorb force, how fast you can re-produce force, how much total force you can produce, and how you apply those forces i.e. body mechanics (ex. Running Speed = Stride Length x Frequency). At Fast Factory our programs focus on all 4. We address rate of force production (power) by including high speed plyometric type exercises and explosive resistance training exercises. We address force absorption and maximal force production with resistance training, and we address body mechanics by drilling and educating athletes about proper running/skating/change of direction techniques. We use exercise progressions that first address mechanics and body positioning, followed by specific drills utilizing resistance stimuli equipment to induce muscle and nervous system adaptations.

Program Options/Details

Free Athlete Assessment:

All Fast Factory Athletes will complete our free athlete assessment. Our coaches will walk each athlete through a series of exercises aimed to analyze and exploit faulty movement patterns, areas of potential injury, and areas of strength/weakness. We will also have each athlete perform baseline performance tests such as the vertical jump, 5-10-5, 30 yd dash, and T test to assess pre/post program ability.

Fast Factory 1 on 1:

If you are looking for individualized programming and 1 on 1 coaching, this is the option for you. We will pair you with one of our experienced certified coaches to work with you 1 on 1 with no distractions.

Rate: $40/session  – package deals vary.

Semi-Private Coaching/Training:

The semi-private training is our most popular option. Taking into consideration our gym space, coaching schedules, and athlete schedules, it is challenging to meet the needs of each individual. Our Semi-private training allows the athlete schedule flexibility without losing the quality of the program.  This allows athletes of all sports and different seasons (in-season, pre-season, post- season) to be on different programs. We promise an 8:1 athlete:coach ratio in a small group atmosphere. Athletes in performing this training style must be 13 or older.

How it works:

Each athlete receives a custom-tailored training program designed to their specific demands. We write our programs in 4 week blocks. The first week of each block will be 1 on 1 with a coach to ensure each exercise is well explained and performed properly. After the first week athletes will then perform the next 3 weeks on their own during our Fast Factory scheduled athlete open gym times. During these times coaches are in the room and supervising, spotting, and answering any questions our athletes may have. As mentioned above, we promise an 8:1 athlete to coach ratio.
